Director's Statement
This film began on the dance floor of a club in Havana, Cuba. We (Carlo Nasisse and Luka Yuanyuan Yang) were working on a feature film in Cuba featuring a group of elderly Chinese American dancers. At the end of each day we would leave the group with Coby and Stephen in search of dancing. We realized that the four of us had an amazing energy and friendship. Before we returned to New York we made a pact to fly to Coby and Stephen’s home in California to make a film.
