Director's Statement

This short film was born of a series of conversations with my friend Chris White during a transitional time in both our lives. I had recently moved my family to Texas and was commuting for work back in Los Angeles while Chris was coming off a break-up with his girlfriend and considering a move to Hawaii. These talks in San Pedro were mostly about the unexpected twists and turns in life and the ironic lengths people subconsciously go to make themselves miserable. Couple that with Chris’ unenthusiastic reluctance to re-enter the middle aged dating scene, and we both felt we had the ingredients for some unique comedy.
