Synopsis: The Long Game: Making of the Mandan, Hidatsa, & Arikara
Nation interpretive center. The film takes place over three
years, that documents the creation of a nearly 20 year
construction project. The building project was envisioned to be
built along the shores of lake sakakawea. The U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers, has control along the shoreline along the Missouri
river and lake sakakawea. Because, of permitting the project
had been delayed for decades. This is that story.

Director's Statement
This project rings true to my own principles. Which is, “An Indigenous Lens For An Indigenous Narrative.” Everything about the MHA Nation Interpretive Center, from the architecture to the film making, is about that very principle.
Director's Bio
Justin Deegan, is an award winning filmmaker. He is originally from the Mandan, Hidatsa, & Arikara Nation. Justin, is also Arikara, Hidatsa, and Lakota/Dakota. His love for films goes all the way back to his early childhood when he watched the original Star Wars and Saturday Night Fever on the big screen. Ever since those lasting impressions, his love for cinema has only continued to grow. It was not until 2013 that he completed his first short film, Conrete 49. Nine years later he is still going strong, with hopes of producing his first full feature narrative horror film.
