Synopsis: Nice Girl Jenny Heitz (Stephanie Hsu, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) is an aspiring journalist, relegated to penning celebrity tabloid stories while dreaming of her first big investigative break. But when an anonymous Internet stalker develops a sinister obsession with her work, she finds herself at the center of a story that no one seems willing to hear. After a cop (David Krumholtz, The Deuce) dismisses her plea for help, Jenny and her hacker roommate Lisa (Irene Morales, Labor Days) seek their own brand of justice. Predator becomes prey in this cathartic and irreverent feminist comedy. Also starring Janeane Garofalo (SNL, Wet Hot American Summer). Director's Statement

We set out to make ASKING FOR IT firm in our belief that laughter goes best with a side of emotional catharsis. As part of one group, among many, who stand to be shortchanged and compromised by a flawed system, we reflect on and take to task the absurdities of the water in which we all swim. Edgy, thrilling, hilarious, and with a heart of pure molten gold, ASKING FOR IT will make you laugh, cry, and leave the theater with a thrumming desire to punch your haters in the mouth.
