Director's Statement
I am a filmmaker with a lot of dreams, literally. I would wake up the next morning with a fresh idea of a story. And that is how ‘Dark Light’ was born. However it wasn’t with the help of an event that happened many years ago. Something that I have seen in my own eyes.
I once walked into a district which had illegal activities going on. I witnessed something which could be described as part of an action drama. I couldn’t believe I was in a middle of it. But these activities slowly died, thanks to our authorities. Though I had always wondered how it would be if this place still exist and hence ‘Dark Light’ was conceptualised.
The next thing to figure out was whose story is this going to be. I realise it would be interesting to tell this story in the eyes of an outsider in this instance, a foreigner.
