Synopsis: A young private detective is handed his first case by a family friend, but despite his best intentions, he quickly finds himself in over his head. Land of Pyrite // Land of Gold is a short film about land-use, Los Angeles, and a young man forced to confront his privilege.

Director's Bio

Stephen Nigro is a writer/director based in Los Angeles, CA. He holds a BA in film studies and an MFA in film directing from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He has previously worked with Benenson Productions, ACNE, and Scott Free Productions. A lifelong Californian, his work explores themes of privilege, gentrification, and the geography of his home state.
