“A Dreamer’s Melody” is my first film in almost two years, which is just one of many reasons why this little piece is so magical for me. This film is my simple love letter to the cinema, specifically those Golden Age musicals that I hold near and dear to my heart. The little dancing girl is me! It still is me! Movies have always sparked wonder and passion inside me. Movies have introduced me to new things to try, new ways to think and new adventures to have! I hope you enjoy the childlike spirit that drives this story and that it warms your heart.

Kendra Ann Sherrill a filmmaker living in Seattle, WA. Her passion is creating films for children! Her recent short film, “A Dreamer’s Melody” screened at over 20 children’s film festivals around the world. She is currently the Editor for the children’s television series “Look, Listen, and Learn” and is developing her own children’s television series. Kendra also has a passion for film festivals – she previously was the Co-Director of the Spokane International Film Festival and a shorts programmer for the Seattle International Film Festival.
