Director's Statement
We view Nora Ephron Goes To Prison as a love letter to Nora Ephron and her extensive body of work that we have all come to know and love. (And quote!) We aimed to create a short film that she, through a wry smile, herself would enjoy.
Director's Bio

DIRECTOR/ACTOR — HANNAH ELLESS is a native of Kalamazoo, MI and graduated from Western Michigan University with a BFA degree in Acting. After graduation, Elless moved to Chicago and then New York City where she found work on several films including The Lake Effect and The Over/Under and in television on HBO’s “The Deuce.” Elless made her Broadway debut singing “Bless the Lord” in the revival of Stephen Schwartz’s Godspell followed by a very “Neil” turn in the Drama Desk-nominated The Other Josh Cohen under the direction of Tony Award-winner Ted Sperling. Ms. Elless also originated the role of Margo Crawford in Steve Martin’s and Edie Brickell’s Broadway musical Bright Star. She most recently was seen Off-Broadway at Classic Stage Company in Tennessee William’s Summer and Smoke and is originating the Mary Stuart Masterson role of Joon in the musical adaption of the film Benny And Joon coming this spring. Having acted in several films, Elless decided it was time to turn the table and get behind the camera. Nora Ephron Goes to Prison is Ms. Elless’ directing and producing debut. She hopes that her tenacity can set an example for many other women who want to break the lens barrier and tell their own stories from their personal point of view.
