Director's Statement
I always wanted to tell stories. When I was six years old, I saw “Grease”. I told my mother I wanted to move to America because that’s where everybody sang and danced. I later learned that only happened in musicals.
I’ve been directing for 20 years now. First in musical theater, and later, in the world of VO.
When I felt a calling to transition to directing film, I knew I wanted to work on one of Bo Price’s scripts. When I read “Wichita”, I thought it was everything a short film should be: Fun, fast, and thrilling. I immediately thought of my “dream cast”: Jeremy Sisto and Maxim Roy, whom I had the pleasure to work with on a play and on voiceover dubbing.
When I landed my dream cast and got to direct my first short film, with my dream script and my dream DP, I was singing and dancing!
