Synopsis: Juliet Landau
Juliet Landau is an actress, director, producer & writer. As an actress, highlights include Drusilla on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER & spin-off ANGEL and co-starring in Tim Burton’s ED WOOD as Loretta King. Last season she recurred as Rita Tedesco on Amazon’s BOSCH. This season she’s recurring as Cordelia on TNT’s CLAWS. Juliet just helmed her visionary, feature directorial debut, A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD, which she also produced with her husband under their Miss Juliet Productions banner. Cast: Gary Oldman, Ron Perlman, Robert Patrick, Lance Henriksen and Anne Rice, appearing for the first time in a movie. Also mostly in the can is THE UNDEAD SERIES… The only series ever to gather the A-list of the genre together. Every one of the talented artists in A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD came back to participate in their series, as did Tim Burton, Willem Dafoe & many other notables. Other acting work includes starring opposite Jake Busey in the soon-to-be-released PENUMBRA, starring opposite Whoopi Goldberg in THEODORE REX, starring in over 20 other films, appearing in many more, guest-starring frequently on television, extensive voiceover work in features, tv and video games. Juliet and Dev previously directed and produced two short subjects: TAKE FLIGHT with Gary Oldman and DREAM OUT LOUD with Guillermo del Toro, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rian Johnson. Juliet has a been member of the Actors Studio for 25 years and is currently workshopping a new project in 3 Sundance Collabs. Landau co-wrote two issues of the ANGEL comic book for IDW. She and Weekes are now penning the companion coffee table book to THE UNDEAD SERIES called BOOK OF THE UNDEAD.
Anne Goursaud is an accomplished film director and editor, crediting Francis Ford Coppola for spotting her talent and giving her the chance to edit ONE FROM THE HEART.
Anne’s directing credits include EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE, POISON IVY II, ANOTHER 9.5 WEEKS. Her editing credits include Coppola’s THE OUTSIDERS, BRAM STOKERS DRACULA, IRONWEED, HER ALIBI, CRIMES OF THE HEART, LOST SOULS, TWO JAKES, IDLEWILD, and EXPIRED. Recently, Anne produced the feature documentary, ULTRASUEDE: IN SEARCH OF HALSTON.
Anne received a license en Histoire de L’Art from Sorbonne and a Masters of Fine Art from Columbia University. She is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the Editors Guild, A.C.E., the Academy of Arts and Sciences, and SACD.
Best known for her musical work as half of the critically acclaimed duo, Faith and the Muse, Monica Richards is also a writer, composer and artist living near Los Angeles. As a composer, she is known for the wide diversity of her musical work, from harder rock anthems to electro-tribal rhythms to dark, atmospheric ambience. In over thirty years as a front woman in Underground music, Monica Richards has a far reaching reputation of the highest respect for her powerful voice and theatrical stage presence. An old school punk rocker who began writing songs at the age of 15, her sharp, intelligent lyrics and musical talents are the highlights of Faith and the Muse, as well as her solo music. Monica composed the score for the feature film, A Place Among The Dead, which is having its live Worldwide Premiere here at the festival.
