Synopsis: A 16mm love letter to 70s B movies, following a Producer who discovers a band’s music has unexplainable powers, and it’s not long before his ego gets in the way…
This is the music video for Kid Kapichi’s new single, ‘Death Dips’; written, produced, shot and released in just 2 weeks on a very low budget.
I took inspiration from the lyrics which describe a never-ending search for the ultimate high, and decided to write a fun narrative where the song itself becomes that high.
With myself being an unsigned Director, and the band having no label, this project was a self-funded labour of love, with so many favours being pulled by our incredible crew.
Since starting at MTV in the summer of 2015 as a Creative Assistant, I was soon promoted up the ranks over 3 years from Junior, to Midweight, resulting in my current position as Senior Creative.
Alongside this, I also write and direct music videos and short films, as an unsigned director.
I graduated from Kingston School of Art in 2014 with a degree in Graphic Design & Photography.
