SongCraft Presents: Dom Flemons
In this half hour show, Grammy-nominated songwriter Dom Flemons and host Ben Arthur explore the complicated legacy of blackface artist Emmet Miller, and write a song inspired by his life and work. Director's Statement

What does a life transition look like, sound like?

What do people do on the cusp of a life transition? What do they choose to shed? Comics, cookbooks, stamps, coins, magazines, dolls, action figures, vinyl records… and why?

In this documentary you will meet people in different phases of transition — a former hip hop dj, a punk rock completist collector, a daughter finally letting go of her dad’s storage lockers, and many more. What they have in common is they have chosen to say goodbye to prized record collections.

Come listen to the sounds of their transitions, and witness them emerge forever changed.
