Synopsis: This 6 minute film follows one woman’s journey living through the year 2020. The story is told without dialogue, but instead with a soundtrack of breathing as the main auditory experience. It’s a story of change, creativity, connection, and pain, ending in hope.
How many times have I been told when living through a painful or stressful moment, “just breathe”? Using the powerful tool of breath, I wanted to give the viewer a visceral emotional experience while watching the film so they can go on the ride with me not only as the director but as the woman character. My hope is that there are moments that will be relatable to everyone and that this film can serve as a time capsule for the challenging year that was 2020 that we all not only lived through but conquered. It was also important to me that it be created by an all-female team to raise up female filmmaker’s voices.
