Director's Statement
This story builds on the idea that people of all ages and cultures have much in common. The two main characters forge a friendship that helps them both with the struggles they are facing. This story illustrates that the false divide between cultures and generations can start with a small interaction that opens the door to empathy and understanding. We are all human beings who need the same things, no matter where our families come from or how old we are.
