Synopsis: Janet, a nicely dressed woman carrying flowers comes out of her house only to discover an interloper on her property. As she is about to call the police, her neighbor Tom appears in his nearby driveway. Upon discovering that the interloper, Jack, was on a bender in another state, and has no idea how he got here, a dispute breaks out between the neighbors as to what to do with him. A tussle breaks out that ends in Janet landing a hard slap on the drunk’s face. Tom gives him cab fare to get to the airport. Janet and Tom then face off with each other.

Director's Statement
It’s a story that a lot people don’t know – that alcoholics sometimes travel long distances in blackouts, and find themselves in another state or country with no idea how they got there. It’s very real. Some people think it’s funny. Others recognize the danger of it.
Director's Bio
Neal Hemphill loves working with actors, and with cinematographers! This is his 6th short film to play in the Reel Recovery Film Festival. As an actor, he performed on stage in 33 states and 3 foreign countries, as well as in Hollywood films, national TV, and independent films. A turn to screenwriting led to also studying directing and producing. Draft #3 of a feature film is in the works.
