Synopsis: FBI Special Agent Rochelle Roy must confront skepticism and familial tensions when four trafficking victims claim to be the reincarnated souls of four women who died during the Salem witch trials.
This short film featuring a diverse cast takes place in the aftermath of human trafficking, touching how it impacts both victims and law enforcement, and feeds into cycles of trauma, addiction, spiritual crisis and transcendence. It’s a prelude to a feature film I intend to produce, based on a novel I’ve written. Even though it fits into the context of a larger story, I believe this chapter, edited using experimental techniques, is also able to stand on its own. In essence, it tells the story of a woman who comes to realize she’s not alone in the world.
