Synopsis: KRISTEN, (Newcomer Katie Kelly) a 16-year-old suburban honor student is addicted to heroin.

She shoots the poison into her system in the most disturbing and creative ways imaginable with her best friend HANNAH (Paola Andino, Every Which Way – Nickelodeon, and Queen of the South – USA Network).

Kristen and Hannah are America’s daughters. We watch a nightmare unfold in front of our eyes as these two beautiful girls with seemingly bright futures are sucked into the underbelly of the opioid crisis.

When faced with a life altering problem, Kristen’s personal demons emerge, setting in motion a series of events that will change everyone’s lives forever.

Sno Babies is a cautionary tale that drags your face through gravel but ultimately gives you a ray of hope.

Director's Statement

Sno Babies was a passion project from start to finish. It explores the opioid epidemic in America’s suburbs, where teens have access to money and parents who are often too busy pursuing the American Dream to see what is happening right in their own homes. Unlike most films about heroin addiction, Kristen and Hannah cannot be easily written off as “different” or obviously damaged individuals from some obscure subset of our culture. Watching these two beautiful young girls descend into the black hole of addiction is every parent’s worst nightmare. I believe that exposing this unvarnished real horror will open people’s eyes and encourage them to look at themselves and their own families. Hopefully, Sno Babies can make a difference and we can save future Kristen’s and Hannah’s from this living hell. It’s more than a film, it’s a movement.
