Going My Way
Synopsis: Liz, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, is diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor. She immediately confronts her doctor about what the end of her life will be like and whether she should contemplate leaving this earth “on her own terms.” Several months later, we see her and her family spending Mother’s Day together.. Liz gives her daughter her treasured pearls and her granddaughter a charm bracelet she has owned for over thirty years. After they leave, she kisses her husband goodnight, and retires to her bedroom alone. She takes two capsules, empties them into a glass of water, drinks the fluid, and drifts off to sleep.

Director's Statement
Pain is literally like an alarm system, designed to let the body and/or mind know that something isn’t right. Nobody should have authority over somebody else’s life, especially when there is no cure for their condition and they are in pain every waking minute. I’m glad that I was given the opportunity to direct GOING MY WAY because it has an important message regarding the under-discussed, complex, and taboo subject of euthanasia which I feel will always be timely
