Synopsis: This documentary is about the comeback story of a young action sport athlete who seemingly lost everything after a freak accident turned him quadriplegic. This is about the relentless pursuit of self improvement, embracement of challenges, and the journey of love, growth, and acceptance.

Shelby Thompson is a documentary filmmaker, producer, and freelance editor. She grew up in San Clemente, CA, and graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Broadcast Journalism and Documentary Film. Growing up in beach city around an action sport lifestyle, Shelby is inspired to tell stories that reflect the adventure, community, and challenges that all sports present. Shelby has gone on to coordinate varying projects from assorted films that include documentary, music videos, and promotional videos. She combines her passions of storytelling, music, and sports to tell compelling human stories of people pushing the limits as well as getting to know unique-minded individuals.
