“She had some horses” is a 48-minute lyrical documentary about the bond between women and horses. The title is based on a poem by Joy Harjo (and used with her permission). “She had some horses” follows Lynne Pomeranz, award-winning equine photographer, as she leads one of her wild horse photography workshops in scenic locations throughout New Mexico; we visit horse sanctuaries founded by Sandi Claypool and Jackie Fleming; Shelly Gibbs, an equine body-worker and animal communicator, tells us about her bond with her horses; Rachel Waller takes her 8 year old daughter, Cheyenne, out to the see the wild horses on the public lands with Lynne’s workshop before they disappear.
