Théo Sanson

On November 15, 2015 Théo Sanson walked nearly 500 meters on a highline rigged from The Rectory to Castleton Tower in Castle Valley, Utah – likely a new world record.

Théo Sanson discovered climbing just before turning 18 and fell madly in love with it, climbing everyday. But it came to a screeching halt at 20 when he took a huge fall, bouncing off the cliff, followed by an arduous three years recovery.

During his recovery, Théo was looking for a sport he could enjoy. According to the doctors he could walk, but absolutely no weight on his back. e.g. Nothing requiring a back pack. Luckily, during this period, Théo discovered slacklining and learned to walk, not only on the ground.

As he improved, Théo met the Flying Frenchies (an extreme sports, acrobatic, performance team) and was introduced to highlining techniques. Within 6 months Théo knew THIS was going to be his profession one way or an other. He’s never looked back.
