“The life histories of 43 men on death row were examined in a qualitative analysis of the multiple intermediary factors in the cycle of violence. Severe and multiple forms of abuse were endemic in this sample of men. Abuse was typically multigenerational and almost universally linked to intergenerational substance abuse. After experiencing abuse, the majority of these men manifested extensive developmental problems, from severe difficulties in school to chronic relationship and occupational problems. For most, the transition to adulthood was seriously compromised. Results are discussed in terms of the interaction between developmental trauma and masculine socialization.”

Andrea is showrunning a new True Crime docuseries based on the murders of two college friends. She has been on the team for eleven narrative feature films and four documentary features, including as an executive producer on FUEL, which won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at Sundance, and on Half the Picture, winner at Sundance London. Andrea showran five series for Mobile Magic Studios, which were sold and distributed across four platforms. Her feature script Best Death Ever has been acknowledged by Sundance Catalyst, Austin Film Festival and FilmCom Nashville, and her animated script Chewtopia was a Cameraderie finalist in 2019. Andrea started behind the scenes in network television, with two years on “The Nanny” two years on “Daddy Dearest” and one season on “Rockstar INXS”. Andrea attended George Washington on a gymnastics scholarship, holds an MFA from USC, is a Writers Bootcamp graduate, and a Level III trained Council Facilitator.
