Dream Route
Synopsis: A journey of formation through the lands and peaks of Patagonia. Silvia meets Stefano during training in the bouldering hall. A few months later she decides to resign and leave with him for an adventure in Patagonia. The difficulties of the trip severely prove Silvia, her ability to climb and her relationship with Stefano. The climb to Fitz Roy becomes for Silvia the last difficulty to face to definitively overcome her fears. Will she find a new way in her life?

Director's Statement
We met Silvia and Stefano just before they left. They seemed to be a solid and enthusiastic couple at the idea of leaving for a new and challenging adventure. They had resigned from a safe job in Italy, with the idea of experiencing the thrill of facing the world and the Fitz Roy, strong of the typical enthusiasm of their age. We met them again 4 months later. Transformed. Tired and tested, but full of an even more intense love for mountains and especially for freedom. This is their story.
Director's Bio
Federico Massa was born in Spain. He graduated in philosophy from Padua University. During University He began to nurture his passion for direction producing documentaries with Prof. Mirco Melanco, teacher of documentary filming. Over the years he has had the opportunity of working with Marco Paolini, Mario Rigoni Stern, Ermanno Olmi, Sidney Rome and Gian Piero Brunetta. His work has obtained recognition and awards in numerous international competitions. The last documentary “Beyond the borders” is the most awarded Italian documentary of 2017. It was also in the Italian Golden Globes nomination. ####### Tommaso Brugin After studying Cinema in Padua and Paris, he graduated in 2007. He immediately started working as an editor a video-installations for museums and international events, under the direction of Prof. Gian Piero Brunetta. Today he has more than 10 years of experience in the research and management of audio-visual archival material and in the editing of short films and feature films of documentary genre and docu-fiction.
