Director's Bio
Oliver Garland, is an Uruguayan director with over 10 years of experience. He makes his directorial debut with his feature documentary FROM CORE TO SUN (2018). Prior to working on this documentary, this sky-diving director has worked on other shorts and various commercials for Latin American multinational companies. He has professional training in acting and architecture and is one of the most sought out directors in the LATAM region. His ability to handle scenes with people who have no acting experience has led him to direct a large number of productions. His works, stand out for their great versatility. He’s received the Eye of Ibero-America along with other awards like the Campana de Oro, Desachate and Effies. In 2012 and 2013 he was the most awarded director in Uruguay.
