Like Harvey Like Son
Synopsis: On May 30th, Ultrarunner and Cincinnati based high school teacher Harvey Lewis set out to conquer the Appalachian Trail in record-breaking fashion. Together, he and his 78-year-old father-turned-crewchief navigate remote wilderness and unpredictable weather on their 2,190 mile journey to the top of Mount Katahdin. But the run is only the vehicle to build their relationship and build their character. Like Harvey Like Son, created in just over 6 months, is the filmmaking debut for Director Rudy Harris Jr, Road iD Films, and Harris Media Co.

Director's Statement
This movie was the hardest production I have yet to encounter in my short career. 18 hour days, thousands of miles in a minivan, and an aggressive post production schedule made it such that this documentary was produced, shot, and edited within 6 months. Most notably, edited in just under 12 weeks. But witnessing the love between the “Harveys” and the incredible feat of running the length of the Appalachian Trail made it all worth it.
Director's Bio
Growing up in Northern Kentucky, an earshot away from Cincinnati Ohio, Rudy Harris learned his love for telling stories starting in high school. Whether it be an improv play or a short story for his school’s news program, he quickly learned that story telling was his passion. Having worked in both corporate video production and photography for 14 years, he always had a dream to tell stories that would inspire others outside of traditional marketing. Like Harvey Like Son is his first attempt at telling a larger than life story, while being still humbled by a simple concept; love between a father and son.
