Director's Bio
Vancouver-based filmmaker Trish Neufeld first fell in love with filmmaking at the age of 12 when mother gave her an old video camera – from that moment, she was driven to tell stories on screen.
Since 2014, she has been active with her production company Story Box Movies. Dancing with Mom is her first feature-length documentary, produced in partnership with Knowledge Network. This first-person account of her mother’s descent into dementia is by turns heartbreaking and hilarious. She is currently in production on a feature documentary about the lululemon empire and its controversial founder Chip Wilson.
During her three-decade career as a writer, producer, and director, Trish has worked on a broad range of projects, from feature animations, to TV docu-series and comedy specials. Her credits include story producer on The Age of AI with Robert Downey Jr. and Beauty with Tyra Banks; director on The New Wave of Standup, a live comedy festival with CBC, and Just for Laughs; producer on the feature-length animated film Max Steel for Mainframe Entertainment and the award-winning short film The Porcelain Pussy. In addition, she directed the short documentaries Save Space Nugget and Mi Pasiòn. Trish is also obsessed with salt and vinegar chips, bubbles on Friday night at 5 and is a sock matching enthusiast.
