The Road To Wanderlust
Synopsis: After years on the road in the most unlikely of vehicles– a tiny Ford Festiva, already condemned to the scrap yard and then resurrected– Sam Salwei and the legendary Peace Love Car had become somewhat of a beloved couple. But the time had come for a new companion to join the adventure. After a short taste of the luxurious Peace Love Lifestyle, Raquel Hernandez-Cruz became a permanent part of the journey. Shortly after this new chapter began, bad new arrived. The car was rusting out beyond repair and was heading for a second time to it’s deathbed. Rather than simply getting a new car, they decided to take the beloved friend and icon on the grandest adventure yet– a tour of all 50 states and provinces in canada, stopping to teach yoga and slackline workshops, and have other wild adventures along the way!

Director's Statement
It’s easy to encounter stories that give you wild dreams, or ambitions, or stir up in your heart an insatiable lust for adventure and travel. But its much harder to find stories like that, which also leave you believing you have everything you need to make them come true. That is the aspect of this story that made me feel it must be told. Sam and Raquel, and their magnificent traveling machine, fill every moment of their lives with beauty, adventure, and mystery, and somehow leave you feeling like you could do it too. I hope you’ll come away from this film, not just with a dream, but with a plan of action!
