Director's Statement

In astrology, the Saturn Return is when the planet Saturn returns to the place in the sky it held at the time of one’s birth. This typically takes 27-30 years, and it’s believed to line up psychologically with a person’s first trials of true adulthood. It’s a time of uncomfortable growing pains but when it completes, the person is believed to have left youth behind and to have entered into their authentic self. Two to Look, One to See is inspired by this concept and explores existentialism through a fantastical lens.
