Director's Statement

Inspired by my personal story, the short dance film Wo/我 explores the internal struggles of a queer Chinese American immigrant dance artist based in NYC. The film uses movement, voice over, and sound to tell the struggles that the main subject has to face because of his multiple identities. I hopes this film will resonate with Asian, LGBTQ+ and artists communities.
