Two equine parasitology research herds were established at the University of Kentucky in the 1970s by Drs. Harold Drudge and Gene Lyons, and they are unique in the world today. These two world-renowned parasitologists had the vision and foresight to establish these research resources to help address many pertinent questions about equine parasite control.

“I wanted to try and address common misconceptions and myths in equine parasite control,” he said. “In this series, I will address one myth or misconception at the time and in 45 seconds or less, I will explain why it is exactly that – a myth or misconception. These will be interspersed with a few longer videos providing more background information and highlighting recent research findings.”
