Graduated from University of California, Irvine in 2018, Theone Ly is a director/producer based in Los Angeles, CA. As a Vietnamese American female filmmaker, Theone aims to bring diversity into narrative filmmaking.
Her first short film “Classic Dany” brought awareness to ADHD and was featured in the Think. Feel. Act. Series – a series of short films about mental health curated by Oakhill Production, aimed to be shown at schools across the United Kingdom.
Currently, Theone is directing various music videos with independent artists like Tien C, TheoneDNA, and Ellen Shieh. She’s also co-directing the feature length documentary Son Of Vietnam with director/cinematographer Corey Nguyen and Producer Matthew Goriarchkovsky.
