Director's Statement
I have always been fascinated with war. However, not just in a traditional sense. What has always intrigued me about it is the human aspect. Two sides of humanity, both training young soldiers to kill the other side’s young soldiers. What would happen if the two sides’ soldiers were given the opportunity to spend time with one another. Would they still have animosity toward the other person? Could they even become friends to the point they are willing to sacrifice for someone that should be their enemy? This concept is what spawned the idea for the short film Armistice.
