Synopsis: AND iDANCED is the introduction to an upcoming series about the women and men who danced and helped make a lot of the 80s- 90s Rappers & Singers performance presentations exciting and unforgettable. From the earliest low budget Hip Hop videos to the Kings and Queens of R&B, Pop and Hip Hop, their faces, presence and dance moves compelled thousands of music fans watch Video Music Boxx, MTV, BET and more to record and rewind the videos over and over again! Christopher “Play” Martin travels from city to city to talk with many faces you would remember but didn’t really know.

These are the dancers responsible for the videos, dance shows and images we enjoy today. I traveled around the country to reunite and even meet dancers that share the story of their humble beginnings and how their raw talents took them through experiences they couldn’t imagine with the biggest performing artists in the world.

Director's Bio

Christopher Martin also known as Play of Kid ‘n Play decided to take his global popularity and resources into use for education promotion with and through entertainment production.

Being an Artist & Professional in Residence at 3 Historical Black Universities and Colleges that include Miles College, North Carolina Central University & now Florida A&M University. Christopher has also been a guest lecturer at Duke, Stanford, Western New England, Florida State Universities and more.

Christopher created a Cinema & Video Production company titled Playground Solutionz that’s solely a content creator producing digital works that range from educational entertainment series to full length documentaries & special interest shorts. Christopher’s new release fall of 2018 is “AND iDANCED” a documentary that focuses on many of the dancers who started out in low budget Hip Hop and Hip Hop R&B music videos that are now consider classics. Dancers who went on to dance for artist such as Janet & Michael Jackson, MaDonna, Whitney Houston and Prince! The documentary shares their untold stories on what it took to make it and to celebrate them.

Other current works partner with Entertainment giants and icons Kenny Gamble (Gamble & Huff) Philadelphia International and Suzanne DePasse (Motown Records). Christopher is a strong advocate for education and puts into action where his heart is at by partnering with education institutions Florida A&M University where projects such as “GRADES” a podcast serial and “Fast Forward / Rewind” a video show are in production. ARCHITECTS OF HIP HOP with Kenny Gamble & Suzanne DePasse a talk series shot at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida is in post production.

Christopher has always had a passion for news that he rather call ‘Information’. Launches a network called “Brand Newz ‘n Life” that focuses on ‘People & events making a difference around the world and even up the street’. It’s where Hip Hop has a new direction!
