Synopsis: AY ANTONIA tells the story of a young woman who returns to her homeland, a small village in Argentina. The short movie is structured in the form of a nonlinear narrative, it unfolds as an organic flow of dreams and memories recalled by Antonia. She evokes defining moments of her life regarding her immediate family and Argentina, and touches the themes of sacrifice, suffering, healing and aging.

“Art became my language to speak about the dichotomy of growing old and being young, gaining something and losing something, the space within and what is outside, conscious and unconscious as well as solitude and closeness. I see that the art that fascinates me along with my own is always about the dialogue between the two sides.”
Director's Bio
Antonia Ingrey (18-04-1996) is an Argentine interdisciplinary artist, she initially studied advertising and trained in performance, drawing and singing in Buenos Aires, she then studied a BA in interdisciplinary arts at the Zuyd University in Maastricht, Netherlands. Her art lies in between the boundaries of film, performance and installation where she explores the themes of metaphysics, poetic imagery, nostalgia and dreams. She learned from her Gaucho culture, the art of storytelling.
