Director's Bio
Ryan Rivard is a filmmaker based in Queens, New York City. His short films have screened at the Museum of the Moving Image, Coney Island Film Festival, and in the United Kingdom.
He is the Head of Production at filmmaking non-profit Reel Works, where he runs the in-house production company Reel Works Productions. With Reel Works, Ryan has produced documentaries, branded content, and event videos for Samsung, Bank of America, Hasbro, New York Public Radio, and many other non-profits.
Ryan was the Producer on National Park Diaries, a feature documentary that highlights two Student Conservation Association groups that work out in Boston Harbor Islands and Denali National Park. The film screened at National Parks across the country.
In addition to client work, Ryan was the Associate Producer on Reel Works first feature film 72 Hours: A Brooklyn Love Story? (LA Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, Urbanworld, BlackStar Film Festival).
In 2019, Ryan co-founded Frisson Films with opera singer Elyse Kakacek. Frisson is a non-profit organization focused on the filmed expression of classical music. With Frisson, Ryan has directed, produced, and edited projects that have screened across New York City and internationally in the UK.
