I’ll Take Care of You
Synopsis: This short film occurs during the span of many years as a mother takes care of her daughter through the various stages of her life. Later, when the mother grows older, she becomes afflicted with dementia. Now, the daughter presumes her mother’s role to take care of her and return the same love that she received throughout her life.

Director's Bio
Vanessa Prathab was born and raised in Hopkinton, Massachusetts and was the first one in her entire family to be born in the United States. Growing up, she has always had a love for art and her favorite hobbies were filmmaking, photography, poetry, and music. Vanessa did her undergraduate at Wake Forest University, where she majored in Media Studies and completed Pre-Medicine. She graduated early in three years with summa cum laude. Currently, Vanessa is a graduate student at the University of Southern California, specializing in Film and Television Production. She has worked on several short films which all have a common theme of spreading a positive social message and inspiring others. These films include pursuing happiness, standing up against bullying, and overcoming suicide. Her previous films have been selected in film festivals including Top Shorts film award for “Best Inspirational Film,” NYC Mental Health Film Festival, and Lady Filmmakers Festival. Vanessa’s goal is to create socially impactful films that can help change the world.
