La Santera
Synopsis: Graciela is turning fifteen, on the night of her Quinceañera her younger sister’s safety is threatened by her powerful Uncle Ito. She decides she must protect Victoria. She visits a local Botánica and uses her mother’s faith in Santeria to protect her younger sister. Even with the best of intentions things go wrong and the Pandora’s box she has opened came with unexpected results.

Director's Statement
I want to make films that tell about my colorful culture and open peoples eyes. I am obsessed with making films that show how powerful a woman can be and center around familial bonds and their struggles. I Love collaborating with artist from across the globe, everyone has a gift to add to each production, and I welcome them, Team work makes the dream work. I have a wealth of life experiences to draw from and I hope to be able share them.
Director's Bio
Yerania Del Orbe is a Dominican American Actor, Writer, Director and Producer. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in The Bronx, NY. She attended High school at St. Thomas Aquinas in the Bronx and served 10yrs in The US Army. She began her higher education at Central Texas College, Temple Texas studying Business during her military service. She was honorably discharged in 2008, and continued her studies. She graduated from The New School, NYC with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts & Media Studies in 2013. Currently she is a Masters in Film Candidate at Vermont College of Fine Arts class of Spring 0f 2021..
In 2019 she started Latina Made Media. A production company dedicated to making films that center around LatinX cultures and families.
Latina Made Media is a Film and Media Production Company established on the principal of making media for all audiences based on reflections of the LatinX culture and experiences produced and told by LatinX Artists. Formed with a Family based working environment in mind Yerania Del Orbe, a Dominican-American Actor, Writer, Producer and Filmmaker founded Latina Made Media in 2019 out of Somerville, Massachusetts.
