Director's Statement

“The Fifth Day” is inspired from my experiences growing up in a small town in Florida during the Opioid Crisis. It affected my family and its always had an impact on me. This piece is aimed to make the audience feel what the character is going through as she tries to get through days of withdrawals without any help.

Director's Bio

Currently in his last year at FSU College of Motion Picture Arts, Matthew is studying Cinematography and Producing. His passion for filmmaking was sparked as a kid making sketches and videos with his friends. Rather than continuing working in the industry, Matthew decided to finish his degree back in his home state of Florida in hopes of directing & producing feature films after school.
