The Lockdown Series. No me dejes ir jamas
The doors are closed. There are no more screenings of this film.
Synopsis: The dance was filmed at the beginning of the Covid crisis in spring 2020, as I was coming out of a period of dealing with a serious illness. Me and my dance partner started working on something new, and the film is based on footage from one of our first rehearsals. We had to stop the process because the lockdown, but the video remained on my phone. As the lockdown continued, I wanted to continue working on the material and I invited a couple of visual artists to play with the idea. The project grew and turned into the film which you see.

Director's Bio
I am a dance artist of Ukrainian – British origin living in Berlin, Germany. My portfolio includes contemporary dance, physical theatre, dance film, art installation and Argentine tango. I directed several full-length works, art films and short choreographies for stage. I love mixing media, genres and movement languages (which no doubt is a product of my own diverse background). My last work, ‘In Memoriam’ was sponsored by the ACE and involved a mix of dance (contemporary and flamenco), live music and film. I also choreographed for several drama productions and won ‘Bronek’ Independent Theatre Award 2013 in my native Ukraine for ‘imaginative mix of drama and dance’.
