Director's Bio
Can you remember anyone from when you are 6 years old.
I’m 46 and I can’t.
Angelo and Ray were 6 and 10 when they met. And Angelo didnt speak English!
60years later they are still best mates and have forged a life, a career and a purpose through their love of horses.
I was attracted to this story because it reinforces values that are disappearing. Friendship, discipline, standards.
I learnt a lot about myself watching them interact wth the horses – a two way communication, non-verbal, mutually respectful interaction built over time, with patience. Its how we should treat each other.
I was honoured to spend some time with these men on Rays farm in the Yass Valley. I hope you will feel honoured too having seen their story.
