FOUR WOMEN AND A CHALLENGE
The series The Tamers – Connecting with Horses is an original Cabanha São Rafael production, produced by Horse Films, and directed by Rodrigo Chaves. Recordings stated in March 2020 and ended in August of that year, after a five-month interruption due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Its plot combines the fascinating universe of the horse with sensitive issues of our days, such as women gaining new spaces of activity, the preservation of the environment and non-violence driven relations with animals.
Four young tamers confined for fifteen days in Cabanha São Rafael, faced with the challenge of living in the same house and in this short space of time achieve taming four fillies picked out of the wonderful herd of the property. And at the end, compete for a surprise award through a freestyle presentation to a jury composed of celebrities in the equestrian environment.
Conceived as a reality show, the series was filmed amid the beautiful landscape of Estância São Rafael and streamed on YouTube, between August 2020 and June 2021, with success proven by the platform’s metrics of access by the public.
The Tamers – Connecting with Horses is part of the official selection for Rio WebFest, in category “best variety series”.

Natural de São Paulo – Brasil, Rodrigo é formado em comunicação pela PUC PR, com especialização em publicidade e propaganda. Sua paixão pelo cinema o levou a cursar Direção de Fotografia no programa de extensão em cinema e TV da UCLA, em Los Angeles. Trabalha no mercado de produção audiovisual desde 2004, produzindo, dirigindo e fotografando documentários, comerciais de TV e vídeos corporativos, entre outros. Em 2014 criou a Horse Filmes, produtora audiovisual dedicada à geração de conteúdo de vida animal.
