Gabriella is a Colombian-American documentary filmmaker drawn to stories of home, migration, and climate justice.
A 2020 Sundance Creative Producing Fellow and 2020 Impact Partners Producers Fellow, Gabriella has been supported by Catapult Films, ITVS, IWMF, BAVC, and New Orleans Film Society, among others. Her work as a cinematographer has screened at festivals including Sundance, SXSW, Full Frame, Hot Docs, and Tribeca. She’s currently producing two features and directing two short films between Colombia, Morocco, and the US.
Previously, Gabriella produced short-form documentaries at National Geographic, filmed Tiny Desk Concerts at NPR, designed an intensive summer film program for high school students at Yale, and led horse treks through Chile. She is a graduate of SCAD and is the founder of the DC chapter of the Video Consortium where she organizes events for filmmakers and journalists and leads a mentorship program for emerging mediamakers.
