Director's Statement
So often films about addiction don’t explore the more alluring side of mind altering substances. Addiction serves a purpose. It frees us of pain and inhibition. For a short time we can be who we’d like to be, that is until the bill comes due. In American Oxycution I wanted to show the initial lighter side of addiction before the rock bottom, that is after all what makes drugs and alcohol so seductive.
