Synopsis: Mark Johnston is one of Britain’s leading racehorse trainers, having become the first Flat trainer to send out more than 200 winners in a season (2009), a feat which he has, to date, repeated in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. On August 23, 2018, Mark became the winningmost trainer in British racing history when he saddled his 4,194th winner. This documentary follows Mark’s life from the start of his career, and the journey he went on to become one of Britain’s finest trainers.

With a background in broadcasting, specialising in sports and news, alongside a lifelong fascination with horses, Sam oversees day-to-day business operations. Away from his desk, Sam enjoys following Plymouth Argyle in their endless pursuit to one day make England’s top flight, watching (and very occasionally playing) many different sports, and spending time with his family including two young daughters, Florence and Harriet.
