Synopsis: Numerous parents have been impacted by the opioid crisis in America. Struggles with substance abuse can lead to family turmoil and instability for young children. Head Start centers around the country are actively working to help bridge that gap and support those families.
“Piece by Piece” is an animated short story about one mother’s journey to recovery and empowerment.

Director's Bio
Michael Skinner and Jon Michael Shink are the lead producers for Pendragwn Productions, based in Washington, DC. They have collaborated on dozens of films and videos ranging from commercials to feature films to sitcom pilots and have been invited to speak on various aspects of directing, casting, and on the intersection of storytelling and social science research. Their documentary feature, We Are The Ones, a verité film following surgeons in South Sudan who are trying to use medicine as a bridge for peace between their tribes, toured festivals in 2016 and is available on Amazon and iTunes. They have received national and international awards for their work including multiple Telly and Hermes Creative Awards. Michael and Jon are passionate about the power of storytelling to change the world. It’s pretty fun too.
