Synopsis: “She had some horses” is a 48-minute lyrical documentary about the bond between women and horses. The title is based on a poem by Joy Harjo (and used with her permission). “She had some horses” follows Lynne Pomeranz, award-winning equine photographer, as she leads one of her wild horse photography workshops in scenic locations throughout New Mexico; we visit horse sanctuaries founded by Sandi Claypool and Jackie Fleming; Shelly Gibbs, an equine body-worker and animal communicator, tells us about her bond with her horses; Rachel Waller takes her 8 year old daughter, Cheyenne, out to the see the wild horses on the public lands with Lynne’s workshop before they disappear. Special appearance by Madeleine Pickens. It will remind you of the close connection between humans and horses and why that is so important in today’s world.
