Director's Statement
I think we all wish in some way that we could spend our whole lives with loved ones of an older generation. But, they bring us to a certain point and if you’re lucky, leave you with their life lessons filling your heart and mind with courage, strength and especially the knowledge that you are loved. The me of today wishes I could be walking to the corner store talking with my grandmother. THE NICKNAME brings you back to a 1970’s feel of kickball and popsicles with the neighborhood kids, helping your Nana and learning that you don’t pick a nickname. A nickname picks you.
