Director's Bio
Dorothy Chiotti is inspired by a passion for life, music, and horses. With respect to her equestrian pursuits, Dorothy is a certified advanced practitioner of the FEEL Approach (Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning) with a current focus on creating and honouring sacred space by way of the horse. She has spent a lifetime following the equestrian path as a rider and, for a time, as a coach, and continues to train in dressage with her Hanoverian mare, Sophia.
Since retiring in 2005 from a career as a corporate writer, Dorothy has journeyed the path of self-discovery and forged her creative voice penning short stories, poetry, novels, songs and blogs. Her debut murder mystery, “Murder on the High Cs,” was long-listed for the 2018 Crime Writers of Canada “Unhanged Arthur Award” for Best Unpublished First Crime Novel.
The short video “Unsung Heroines of the Horse Industry” is Dorothy’s first foray into video photojournalism.
