Synopsis: The USDA Coalition of Minority Employees has recently sent a letter to Elizabeth Warren voicing our demands of the changes we must see within the USDA and our American food systems. African Americans and other groups have been purposely marginalized and discriminated against by the USDA and other government agencies in order to keep wealth within large multinational corporations and white American families. The letter to Warren has since become the Warren Farm Plan, and she unleashed it publicly on her website during the campaign trail. Senator Warren has stated that she is willing to work more closely with the USDA Coalition of Minority Employees and she understands the importance of getting stolen back to Black farmers. The next step in the process is to see Joe Biden take the Warren Plan and enact that into his own campaign. The Warren Plan would be the most progressive Farm Bill in American history and it would help for African Americans to gain reparations and be treated more fairly in terms of receiving grants, loans, and subsidies from the USDA.

Other problems within the USDA include excessive sexual harassment complaints in the United States Forest Service. Many of these complaints go uninvestigated and the women that come forth with the allegations are often hushed or fired. The USDA needs a complete ethical and moral overhaul in order to advance as a Department and achieve true change.
