Director's Statement
Karl Mikolka has been a huge influence in my dressage training, so when I had the opportunity to film one of his clinics in 2017, I jumped at the chance. I ride with Mary Werning in South Carolina and she graciously allowed me to interview her about her long-time relationship with Karl and her experience with his training methods as one of his select few certified trainers over the years. Prior to his death in 2019, Karl was one of the most influential trainers in the dressage world, so I consider it a tremendous honor to tell a small portion of his story.
